Cooling Castle Barn is located some eight miles north of Rochester, Kent. It is sited on the historic scheduled monument of Cooling Castle.

Cooling Castle Barn is built on four acres of beautiful grounds. The gardens are maintained to the highest of standards ensuring that your whole day is perfect. The garden and patio areas are ideal for entertaining guests on hot summer days and warm summer evenings. On cooler autumn and winter days the surrounding area is stunning and the candlelit barns are warm and welcoming. During the darker evenings special provision is made for indoor candlelit photography.

This idyllic setting has three barns - each with individual character, historic architecture and outstanding beauty.

Tithe or Great Barn - The largest of the three barns it is used for your wedding breakfast. They can seat up to 160 for a served meal and 250 guests for more informal or evening events. The imposing original king and queen post structure of this traditional 16th/17th century tithe barn reaches to an impressive height of nine metres.

The Fathom Barn - Provides an intimate atmosphere for your Marriage Ceremony with seating for up to 120 guests.

The Heritage Barn - It overlooks the garden and has a light and airy Mediterranean flavour. It is generally the meeting point for guests prior to a wedding ceremony or on arrival from a church wedding.

The Barns can be decorated to match different colour schemes/themes and your individual budgets.

I have attended Cooling Castle Barn as a wedding Photographer several times and have founds the venue to be perfect for producing stunning wedding photography. I have also found the staff to be extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
